Marley & Me Climbs to Number One

Jennifer Aniston's dog tale, Marley & Me, raced to the top spot of the Christmas Box Office this weekend. The tear jerker scored a record breaking $14.75 million. Aniston's ex-husband Brad Pitt's film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button earned $11.8 million.

Chihuahua Remains Box Office Gold

Disney's Beverly Hills Chihuahua took the top spot at the box office this weekend, for the second straight week. Chihuahua earned $17.5 million, coming in ahead of Quarantine at $14.2 million. Third place went to Body of Lies, the Russell Crowe/Leonardo DiCaprio feature, which only brought in $13.1 million. Fourth place belonged to Eagle Eye, and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist came in fifth.

Weekend Box Office Goes to the Dogs

Beverly Hills Chihuahua topped the weekend box office, coming in with an estimated $29 million in ticket sales. The second place film was Eagle Eye, down from the top spot last week. Third place belonged to Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Nights in Rodanthe came in fourth place. Rounding out the top five was Appaloosa.

Eagle Eye Takes Top Honors at the Box Office

Eagle Eye debuted in the Number One spot at the box office this week, taking in an estimated $29.2 million. Coming in second was Nights in Rodanthe starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane. Number three belonged to Lakeview Terrace. Fireproof, a Christian drama starring Kirk Cameron came in fourth. Rounding out the top five was Burn after Reading.

Will Smith Takes Another 4th of July Box Office Win

Will Smith claimed his fifth 4th of July holiday weekend box office win, as Hancock earned $66 million in ticket sales this weekend. Smith's previous 4th of July hits were both Men in Black movies, Independence Day, and Wild Wild West. WALL-E came in second place this weekend, followed by Wanted, Get Smart, and Kung Fu Panda.

Iron Man Still Number One

Iron Man grossed an estimated $50.5 million this weekend to take first place at the box office again. Second place went to the critically panned Speed Racer with $20.2 million. Following close behind in third place was the Kutcher/Diaz comedy What Happens in Vegas with $20 million. Fourth place belonged to Made of Honor, which took in $7.6 million. Rounding out the top five is Baby Mama, with $5.8 million.

Baby Mama Tops Box Office

The Tina Fey/Amy Poehler surrogate mother comedy Baby Mama topped the box office this weekend, bringing in $18.3 million in it's first week in theaters. Coming in second was Harold & Kumar Escape Guantanamo Bay with $14.6 million. Last week's #1 movie, The Forbidden Kingdom, fell to third place, bringing in $11.2 million. Forgetting Sarah Marshall made $11 million, good enough for fourth place. Rounding out the top five was Nim's Island with $4.5 million.

Forbidden Kingdom Rules Box Office

The Jackie Chan/Jet Li vehicle The Forbidden Kingdom packed a powerful punch at the box office this weekend, bringing in $20.9 million and settling in at Number One. Forgetting Sarah Marshall debuted in second place with $17.3 million. Prom Night, last week's top grossing movie, fell to third as it took in $9.1 million. 88 Minutes, starring Al Pacino, premiered at number 4 with only $6.8 million. Rounding out the Top 5 is Nim's Island with $5.7 million.

Prom Night Tops Box Office

The remake of the 1980 horror flick Prom Night topped the weekend box office. Prom Night, starring Brittany Snow, raked in $22.7 million million. The Keanu Reeves/Forest Whitaker cop movie Street Kings took second place; while 21 fell to number three after two weeks at the top spot.
