The past week started off with Cymbi's fearless Oscar Predictions. Amazingly enough, when the smoke cleared on Tuesday she had actually predicted four out of five nominees in the six major categories. Tuesday ended on a sad note with the death of Heath Ledger and the media circus that ensued. The week ended with the death of Christian Brando and Barack Obama winning big in South Carolina. See you next week!

Week in Review

After the non-event that was the Golden Globe Awards last Sunday, this past week started off with a judge denying Britney Spears' request to have her visitation rights restored. Do you blame him? Steve Jobs introduced the world to the MacBook Air while Hollywood said goodbye to actor Brad Renfro. Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney won both the Michigan and Nevada primaries, while John McCain won the Republican primary in South Carolina. The South Carolina Democratic primary is this coming Saturday. American Idol returned to large ratings but was down from last year. Dr. Phil faced a complaint filed against him with the California Board of Psychology. Put that on your TV show and talk about it, Dr. Phil! And the biggest news of the week? The Chronicles of von Klapp is moving to a new website address tomorrow! Bookmark www.chroniclesofvonklapp.com
I'll be back next weekend. Cymbi will be back tomorrow with her Oscar predictions. Make sure to be here on Tuesday morning when Cymbi blogs LIVE with the Oscar nominations!

The Week in Review

This week was wild! Monday started off with the bad news that the Golden Globes ceremony was canceled and that NBC would cover a Globes press conference instead of the actual awards. Suck-o-rama! Tuesday brought New Hampshire primary wins for Hillary Clinton and John McCain, which coincided with my fearless prediction about the November elections. Tuesday was also the broadcast of the watered-down People's Choice Awards. Host Queen Latifah, in front an audience of none, read the winners in every category and then cut to pre-taped segments with said winners. It was an embarrassment to all involved. On Friday, Cymbi posted the rumor about Michael Jackson's possible return to the concert stage. Also on Friday, O.J. Simpson was back in custody after he allegedly tried to contact a co-defendant while out on bail. Oh, come on! Cut the man some slack. It's not like he KILLED anyone, right? Friday also brought two little bundles of joy. Christina Aguilera had a baby boy, Nicole Richie had a baby girl, and their husbands had a threeway with Paris. JUST KIDDING! I'm sure both proud daddies were front and center and accounted for.
Cymbi will be back later tonight for full coverage of the Not The Golden Globes Awards Press Conference. Live blogging-- good stuff! Have a great week and thanks for reading!
