Tell Us What You Think!

So many changes.... When The Chronicles of von Klapp began last October, it was created by a funny and witty young lady who wrote under the psydonym of "Cymbalta von Klapp." She created Cymbalta as a character who would guide her readers through a daily blog that would be part commentary on the world of celebrities and entertainment, and the other part would be a "storyline" about the character of Cymbatla and her fictitious adventures.
A month into writing the blog, "Cymbalta" began to feel overwhelmed and asked two friends to assist her in the daily blogging chores. One friend assumed the pseudonym of "Lunesta von Klapp," Cymbalta's sister. The other assumed the role of editor and webmaster. Together, the three mapped out how the site would look and feel. The site became more about entertainment news and less about the character of Cymbalta. The writer who wrote as "Lunesta" eventually departed and more writers joined our growing stable of bloggers, all writing under the now generic name of Cymbalta.
Now, the creator of The Chronicles of von Klapp, the orginal "Cymbalta", has left the site. The split was on good terms, and everyone is pleased with where they stand. However, we are faced with a dilemma: now that it's been months since we've mentioned the fictitious storylines of "Cymbalta" and the actual person who wrote as "Cymbalta" has left, do we keep the character of Cymbalta alive as a "mascot" for the site? If not, do we change the name of the site? And if so, what would we call it?
We want to hear from you! Email us at webmaster@chroniclesofvonklapp.com and let us know what you think! We'll make an announcement, based your your suggestions, on June 2nd.

Changes!
Faithful readers have noticed a shortage of updates here on what is supposed to a website with daily updates. Unfortunately, there have been some "creative differences" behind the scenes, but things will be back to normal starting Monday. In the meantime, check back for updates and as always, thank you for visiting The Chronicles of von Klapp.

What to Wear to a Scandal

If you felt there was something familiar about soon-to-be Ex-Governor Eliot Spitzer's press conference on Monday, you might recall New Jersey's ex-Governor James McGreevey's 2004 press conference where he announced he had been unfaithful to his wife with a man and would be resigning as governor. Both men wore similar suits and ties. Silda Spitzer was wearing a jacket and pearls similar to what Dina Matos McGreevey wore during her husband's press conference.

Changes

We're in the process of making some changes here at Chronicles of von Klapp. We are focusing more on entertainment and celebrity news and less on current events. With that in mind, we've decided to discontinue our Real Hero Thursday tributes to fallen soldiers. Please know that everyone at CvK supports our military 100% and will always honor them in our hearts, but the column no longer fits our theme. We feel our fallen heroes should be honored by all of us every day, not just in a weekly column. Please check out our archive of previous Real Hero Thursday columns.

Changes, changes, changes

I'm blogging live from the Chronicles of von Klapp headquarters in Manhattan, also known as Cymbi's apartment. It's a scene of utter chaos as Cymbi and myself are making the transition to www.chroniclesofvonklapp.com. It's more than just an address change: Cymbi went through hundreds of logo designs until she finally approved of the one you see now. Cymbi promises that there will be lots of more fun changes coming soon. I have to give my sister credit - I didn't think anyone would read her little blog when she started it less than three months ago. And honestly, I still don't know why anyone does. But, she's happy and that's cute.
I'll be back tomorrow with my weekly "Week in Review."

The Photo Album

I found an old photo album this week. It was filled with pictures that I had long forgotten. There were pictures of me with braces, there were pictures of Cymbalta when she was at "that awkward age," and there were tons of pictures of my parents and grandparents.
It made me realize something: I really don't like my sister. Sure, Cymbi is pretty and gets a lot of attention. And that's probably why I've learned to dislike her. She's selfish. She's spoiled. She demands to be the center of attention. And she still has my Donna Karan sweater that I let her borrow in 2005. All I've heard for the past two weeks is "I'm going to be in a commercial!" It's for a burger joint, people! A fast food commercial!
I'll be back tomorrow with my "Week in Review" post. Have a great Saturday!

Hello!

Hello everyone! I'm very excited to be posting the weekend edition of my sister's blog. I never expected The Chronicles of von Klapp (or CovK, as it's known in Manhattan) to take off as it has, and I'm happy to be a part of it.
Let me start off by setting the record straight: contrary to what Cymbalta says, I am NOT frumpy, drab, dowdy, drunken, or anything like that. If you click here every weekend, I hope you'll find me to be funny and witty.
Check out tomorrow's post for my fearless predictions for the year 2008!

ANNOUNCEMENT

TWO major announcements in the von Klapp world!! No, neither has to do with my impending debut in a major television commercial advertisement, but as soon I have something new to report on that, you'll be the first to know!
As faithful readers of The Chronicles of von Klapp know, I blog every Monday through Friday. Beginning in January, The Chronicles of von Klapp will become a daily blog! Yes! Fresh posts every Saturday and Sunday -- but i won't be posting the weekend edition. Please join me in welcoming my frumpy sister Lunesta von Klapp into the blogosphere. I'm sure you will enjoy her ramblings as much as you enjoy mine.
But there's more! Many of you enjoy the weekly theme posts such as "New Boyfriend Wednesday" and "Real Hero Thursday." Many also have enjoyed our occasional glance into the world of celebrity faces gone wrong in which I call "Scary Face." Starting in January, "Scary Face" becomes a weekly theme every Tuesday. Who will be our first Scary Face when the theme goes weekly? Here's a hint: She may be Brooklyn born but her royal marriage prepared her to play a Southern Belle in one of TV's most popular shows. Hmmmmmm....
Much thanks again to all of you who take the time to visit The Chronicles of von Klapp.

Resume Hell!

A few days ago I told you that Daddy von Klapp had insisted upon me finding a job. While Linus, my agent, is out scouting around something for me, Daddy sent one of his office assistants over to help me make a resume. Here is the problem: I've never had a job before, so I have nothing to put on my resume other than "looks great in most colors" and "pouts well." After an hour of trying to make some kind of resume that I can send out to potential employers, Daddy's assistant threw her hands in the air and gave up. I asked her how was I going to make a resume that will make someone want to hire me.
Her suggestion: "Lie!"
