BREAKING NEWS: Jett Travolta, son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, Dead at Age 16


Jett Travolta, the sixteen year old son of actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston, died today after suffering a seizure at the Travolta family's vacation home on Grand Bahama Island. Reports say Jett Travolta fell and hit his head on the bathtub.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston have been married since 1991. They have another child, Ella, who born in 2000.

Eartha Kitt Dead at 81

Eartha Kitt has lost her battle with colon cancer, according to her publicist. The 81 year old entertainer had recently completed a PBS special, which is scheduled to air in February. Here is a 2006 clip of Miss Kitt singing Santa Baby.

Paul Newman Dies at 83


Academy Award winning acting legend Paul Newman has died. Newman died yesterday at his home in Westport, Connecticut after a long battle with cancer. Newman's career in show business included far too many films to list, but stand-outs include The Sting, Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Long Hot Summer, and his Oscar winning role in The Color of Money.

Newman's career wasn't limited to the big screen. He was a successful race car driver and founder of Newman's Own food company.

Newman's biggest success may have been personal, not professional. His marriage to actress Joanne Woodward, herself an Oscar winner in her own right, began fifty years ago in January 1958.

George Carlin Dead at 71


Comedian George Carlin, best known for his famous "filthy words" routine, died of heart failure in a Los Angeles hospital on Sunday. Carlin's last HBO special will premiere on Saturday. George Carlin was 71.

Harvey Korman Dead at 81


Actor Harvey Korman, best known for his work on the legendary Carol Burnett Show, died today in Los Angeles. He was 81. The four-time Emmy winner died from complications from a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm.

Beverlee McKinsey, Famed Soap Actress, Dead at 72

Actress Beverlee McKinsey died in Los Angeles on May 2nd from complications due to a kidney transplant. Best known for her work in daytime television, Ms. McKinsey appeared on Broadway in the original production of Neil Simon's, Barefoot in the Park, and in the London production of Edward Albee's, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? But it was her work in NBC's Another World and Texas as Iris Carrington and later on CBS's Guiding Light as Alexandra Spaulding that gained Ms. McKinsey legions of fans. Charlton Heston Dead at 84


Academy Award winning actor Charlton Heston died last night at his home in Beverly Hills. Heston won the Oscar for 1959's Ben-Hur, and also starred in The Ten Commandments, El Cid, and Planet of the Apes among others.

Heston was President of the National Rifle Association from 1998 through 2003. Also in 2003, President George W. Bush awarded Heston with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honor bestowed upon a civilian.

Charlton Heston was 84.

Roy Scheider Dead at 75


Actor Roy Scheider died today in Little Rock, Arkansas. The cause of death has not yet been released.

He was nominated for an Oscar twice; first in 1971 for The French Connection and again in 1979 for All That Jazz, but it was his performance in 1975's Jaws that brought him fame.

Roy Scheider was 75.

Christian Brando Dead at 49


Christian Brando, the oldest son of the late Marlon Brando, died in Los Angeles today. He was 49. Brando had been in the hospital since January 11 suffering from pneumonia. In 1990 Brando served five years in prison for manslaughter for killing his sister's boyfriend.

Heath Ledger Dead at 28

Heath Ledger was found dead today in a Manhattan apartment. The police speculated the cause of death may be a drug overdose as pills that appear to be over the counter sleeping medication were found near Ledger. He appeared in many films and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Leading Actor for 2005's Brokeback Mountain. Ledger, who was born in Perth, Australia, leaves behind a daughter by actress Michelle Williams.

Suzanne Pleshette Dead at 70




















Actress Suzanne Pleshette, best known for her role as Bob Newhart's wife on The Bob Newhart Show, died Saturday night of respiratory failure in her home in Los Angeles. She was 70 years old. Miss Pleshette had been treated for lung cancer in 2006.

Brad Renfro Dead at 25




















Actor Brad Renfro was found dead in his home in LA today. The coroner has not released the cause of death. He was 25 years old. Renfro got his start at age ten in the movie "The Client." He went on to star in "Tom and Huck" and "Ghost World." Renfro was busted trying to buy heroin in LA's skid row in 2005.

Ike Turner Dead at 76





















Ike Turner, the music pioneer who will forever be remembered as a wife beater, died in his home today. He was 76. His ex-wife, Tina Turner, had no comment. "Tina is aware that Ike passed away earlier today. She has not had any contact with him in thirty five years. No further comment will be made," said Tina's spokesperson Michele Schweitzer.

Pimp C Dead at 33















Rapper Pimp C from the hip-hop duo UGK was found dead in a West Hollywood hotel room. Pimp C, who's real name was Chad Butler, was found in his bed at the Mondrian Hotel. The police are currently investigating the death. He was 33.
