American Idol: Meet Julie Dubela
Meet Julie Dubela. She's the 17 year old former American Juniors contestant who didn't make it through to Hollywood in last week's American Idol Miami audition show. Randy, Paula, and Simon called her "precocious" and suggested she'd have a better shot at being an actress. Check out the clip below and see if you agree or disagree.
Super Bowl XLII: Historic After All

The New England Patriots didn't achieve a perfect season, but Super Bowl XLII will still go down in the history books - for being the highest rated Super Bowl telecast of all time. According to preliminary ratings, 97.5 million people tuned into FOX last night to watch the New York Giants beat the Pats. If the estimated ratings hold up when the national ratings are released tomorrow, Super Bowl XLII will go down in history as the second highest rated television program of all time (second only to the 1983 series finale of CBS's M*A*S*H).

Too Good to Be True: End in Sight for Writers Strike?

People close to the negotiations are saying the end is near for the 90 day old Writers Guild of America strike. A breakthrough was reached late yesterday between the striking writers and Hollywood studios regarding issues such as compensation for material viewed over the internet, among others. If this is true, a deal could be reached as early as next week. Keep your fingers crossed!
Britney's Father Put In Charge of Her Welfare

James Spears has been named temporary conservator of his daughter, Britney Spears. This puts him in control of her welfare while she remains in the UCLA Medical Center's Psychiatric Hospital. The court also named attorney Andrew Wallete as co-conservator of Britney's estate, along with James Spears. Sam Lufti, Britney's friend and occasional manager, was slapped with a restraining order keeping him away from Britney and her home.
Super Bowl Excitement

The Super Bowl! The fun, the festivities, the commercials. This year the big game is being telecast on the FOX network, which means tons of cross-promotion and squeezing every bit of Super Bowl fun into a 24-hour period. FOX kicks off the Super Bowl coverage tomorrow morning with FOX Super Sunday at 9:00 am Eastern time. Super Sunday is a three hour mix of politics and sports hosted by Chris Wallace, Shepard Smith, Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly. At noon, The Road to the Super Bowl will highlight the Patriots and the Giants trek to the big game. 1:00 pm brings Inside the Rings with Troy Aikman, followed at 1:30 by Howie Long's Tough Guys: Super Bowl Edition. Live coverage returns at 2:00 pm with Super Bowl Sunday Pregame Show. Ryan Seacrest hosts from the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ. This is where Paula Abdul will premiere her "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" music video and Seacrest will interview celebrities on the red carpet. I'm not going to ask why there is a red carpet at the Super Bowl because I'm too busy trying to figure out what Ryan Seacrest and Paula Abdul have to with the game. If you can't wait to hear Paula's new song, check it out below. Finally, 6:00 pm brings the actual game! Well, 6:17 pm to be exact. So now that you know the schedule, plan accordingly and don't eat too much!
